Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup gluten-free all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Bring the oil to 350 degrees.
- Mix all of the ingredients together and shape into 16 balls.
- Fry the hush puppies in two batches for about 3 minutes each, until light brown.
Makes 16 hush puppies.
